Art begs us to unravel something about ourselves, about society. It provides us freedom whilst also requiring us to relinquish our autonomy to an endless cycle of philosophical resuscitation. Painting allows me to contextualise poetry, music, philosophy and reality. I am inextricably chained to metaphor and the artistic process of philosophical unravelling. A.C.I.D allows me to collaborate with a range of musicians and artists. A.C.I.D seeks to liberate art, music and community from corporate hegemony.
As an independent and ongoing artistic project, A.C.I.D is always looking to collaborate with musicians and artists from all fields. The art we intend to create exists within the dialectical space between creation and completion; it will constantly be in a state of flux, transition, repair and disrepair.
Not only are we forever in the process of evolution and change, but we also own and dictate the parameters of our art. As such, we are free to do with it what we will — be that change or destroy it.
A.C.I.D aims to bring together diverse voices and celebrate their perspectives, struggles and rights to the artistic process.
